We came onboard as CFC's principal sponsor ahead of the 2017-18 ISL campaign, which the team won to become the first ISL team to qualify for the prestigious AFC Cup in 2019. Recently, the two-time Indian Super League champions roped in Apollo Tyres as its principal sponsor after signing a multi-year deal.
Over the course of a fulfilling three-year partnership with Chennaiyin, Apollo Tyres has become intrinsically linked to CFC's achievements. These include winning the 2017-18 ISL championship, qualifying as the first ISL team for the esteemed AFC Cup in 2019, reaching the 2019 Super Cup final, and delivering a breathtaking comeback in the league stage to reach the 2019-20 ISL final.
The partnership between CFC and Apollo Tyres goes beyond the norm. The brands have undertaken various fan engagement activities, and have strived to create a positive impact on society through their activations. For example, as per Apollo Tyres' philosophy of 'Go The Distance', the company, in conjunction with CFC, launched a distinctive playground made of end-of-life tyres (ELT) for school children from Tamil Nadu villages last season. The objective was to establish secure play areas for children while educating them on the principles of reusing and recycling.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and the environment, our Bad Road Buddies led a beach cleanup activity with Chennaiyin FC to clean one of the beaches in Chennai. We started off with the Five First Team Players and the Head Coach players riding with us to the beach who then joined our efforts in making Chennai and the Country cleaner and brighter!
