S Asoka Iyer plays an instrumental role in developing the company’s government liaison and industrial relations, and spearheads the critical function of strategic projects from concept to execution. Having begun his career at Apollo in 1998 as Chief, Marketing, he established Apollo as a multiproduct company and was responsible for streamlining the financial affairs of his department. He is also credited with adding to the company’s OEM basket by incorporating industry leaders like Maruti Suzuki and Ashok Leyland.
A graduate in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, he has extensive experience in international marketing and export roles. His last assignment was with Harrisons Aquaculture and Harrisons Universal Flowers, as President.
